The following press release went out recently:

COME AND HAVE A GAME OF TENNIS!

Banish the winter blues and dust off your rackets for some tennis at Mashamshire Tennis Club in Masham.

After serious flood damage caused by the storms of winter 2015, the club has restored the courts to their pristine condition following re-laying in 2012.

Now they would like to welcome new members to join this friendly club which is set in beautiful surroundings. Why not have look at the website: www.mashamshiretennisclub.co.uk, where full details on all aspects of the club are available.

The club has teams in 3 different leagues and also has plenty of social sessions to include those who don’t want to play league tennis. From 5th April this year, one session will start around 5.30pm on Wednesday evenings, moving out to 6.30pm as the light lasts longer! Then for those who are perhaps not working full-time there is a session on Thursday afternoons and finally one on Sunday mornings.

A number of club tournaments with the emphasis on fun take place throughout the season and to help raise funds, social events are organised.

Sounds like your idea of fun while getting some exercise? The club would like to hear from you – please enquire online or contact club chairman Tom Johnson on 01765 603593 or match secretary David Miller on 01969 625193.
