Mashamshire Tennis Club Rules

1. Subscription rates shall be set at the Annual General Meeting.

2. Membership will cease for any member who has not paid their subscription.

3. Any persons wishing to join the Club must pay the current annual rate of subscription, irrespective of the date of joining. The Treasurer may exercise discretion on this, depending on circumstances.

4. All members under the age of 15 must give priority to seniors after 6pm every evening and on Sunday afternoons.

5. When other members are waiting, there shall be a limit of one set with a tie-break being played at 5-5; also no singles to be played when other members are waiting.

6. All players shall wear appropriate footwear and a suitable standard of sports wear.

7. Members shall provide their own racquets and balls. The Club shall provide tennis balls for the Club sessions.

8. The last players on the courts shall see that all gear is returned and courts securely locked up and the area is left tidy and litter-free.

9. If, in the opinion of the majority of the members of the Committee, a member is guilty of wilful and persistent breach of any Rules of the Club, or of conduct likely to prejudice the welfare and good order of the Club, then the Committee have powers to suspend such member and such member shall forfeit his/her subscription and all rights of membership for a period decided by the Committee.

10.The Committee reserve the right to prohibit or restrict the use of the courts required for any match or tournament or maintenance.

11. All members admitted to club membership shall be bound by the rules of the Club.
